What is MEDCLOT?
MEDCLOT is a sterile hemostatic gauze impregnated with kaolin, a mineral that supports the body's natural clotting process. It is packed into a wound and held with direct pressure to help control bleeding.
Which size do I need?
2ft – pocket, car glovebox or compact IFAK. 5ft – home and range kits. 12ft – larger trauma kits, workshops and remote areas. Not sure? The Complete Kit includes all three.
Is it sterile?
Yes. Each pouch is individually sealed and sterilized (STERILE R). Do not use if the pouch is opened or damaged.
Is it certified?
MEDCLOT is CE certified (CE 1783) and made in Turkey. It is used by the Turkish military.
Can I use it on pets?
Yes, MEDCLOT can be used for bleeding control on animals as well as people. Always follow up with a veterinarian.
Why does the gauze have a blue thread?
The blue tracer thread is X-ray detectable, so medical staff can identify it easily.
How do I use it?
Open the pouch, pack the gauze firmly into the wound, and apply direct pressure for at least 3 minutes. Then seek professional medical care.
